Founder - Fern Wilkes 

 

From fern was founded in June 2020 during lockdown, when I was coming to the end of a business course, and I had no idea what I wanted to do next! Having never used a sewing machine before, I made some headbands to start from some leftover Indian fabric we had lying around at home. I started selling them on instagram and never thought I would still be doing the same 3 years on.

 

I had no experience in sewing or designing clothes but always had a love for fashion and continued self teaching myself to make more and more clothes. I carried on buying gorgeous Indian fabrics and other materials such as cord and linen, and making new products. I have spent the last 3 years making as much as stock as possible and have recently started to outsource and manufacture some of my products to be able to keep up with demand, thanks to my amazing customers!

 

I feel like this is just the beginning of my journey and I am so excited to continue to bring out some epic clothes which I hope you love as much as I do!
